Besides beer, this is probably the best summer drink that you can have. Just pour the shots directly over the ice and nurse on it for an hour or so. This brings out more of the flavors while removing some of the bitterness.

Starbucks recently opened up a new concept store on the top of Capitol Hill in Seattle called 15th Ave Coffee and Tea where they’ve dropped the cookie cutter branding for the look of an indie shop. I hope this goes well for the company in the long run as their current stores aren’t exactly inviting.
Of course there are about a dozen other great coffee shops within a few blocks from each other in that area (Victrola, Ladro, etc.), but sometimes you don’t want to have to wait 10 minutes in line just for a single shot of espresso.

Good job to whatever ad agency came up with the Backroads Montana campaign that have been shown on Seattle buses and inside the metro tunnel over the past two weeks. I need to get out of the city soon, and I think I might just head east. The pictures are from the Bus Chick’s PI blog: http://blog.seattlepi.com/buschick/archives/170314.asp
Captain Hilts (played by Steve McQueen) carries a great looking military duffle bag in “The Great Escape”.
