Here are some images of the Woolrich Woolen Mills S/S2009 lookbook that were sent around to retailers. It’s still fairly hard to find images of their clothing online, and up until recently you could easily become fustrated trying to hunt down particular pieces (it also doesn’t help that they continue to put up horrible pictures on their own website). Take a look at these though…

While organzing a few stacks of books I had lying around, I came across one I had forgotten about – “Generations of Style”, by John William Cooke. It’s all about the history of Brooks Brothers. I’m not sure if they’re still produced, but they seem to show up on ebay with some regularity at good prices. Scans to come later.
The German undergarments company Scheisser had been offering some very wellmade shirts, henleys, and boxers under the name of “Schiesser Revival” and were sold through small boutiques worldwide. They’re made from high quality cotton, use mother of pearl buttons, and most importantly, they fit very nicely. The bad news is that they recently announced bankruptcy and it’s unlikely they’ll ever produce these again – buy them now while you still have a chance.
There have been a couple of different versions of the pathfinder jacket over the years, but last year’s has been the most versatile for me – made from a very light cotton/nylon poplin fabric, it’s been perfect for warm weather and has also been a great travel jacket due to how easy it is to pack it into small spaces. I’ve been hunting around for another one in navy, but I’m guessing that there were probably only a few made for North American stores.
Captain Hilts (played by Steve McQueen) carries a great looking military duffle bag in “The Great Escape”.
From a recent edition of Leon… Men in America typically avoid wearing pants that are colored anything other than khaki and indigo and they can be difficult to pair up with odd jackets if they’re not something you’re used to. Use some of the pictures below to help give you a few ideas on what colors to pick.
Part 2 – Pink Pants
They’re nice of course, but did these really need to be made?

I have a pair of the Ranger Moccasins which I enjoy (and I’ve been told they will be restocked on their site soon), but the usefulness and purpose of crepe soled shoes are lost when used as drivers.
